DX News Volume 36
By far the hardest volume to scan... the first 12 issues were 8½ X 11 mimeographed and then issues 13 to 34 were the first to use
commercial offset printing. The offset copies are on 8½ X 14 inch paper and are the first that I've done "on the glass" of this type
and to make matters worse, the scanner capable of 8½ X 14 paper is located in Joan's art studio and connected to the Adobe software via wireless.
I had to walk in the art studio flip the book to the next two pages, press the scan button walk back to the art studio and repeat until done!
The earliest offset issues had quality difficulties with the variation of the editor's typewriters and the quality of their ribbons. In addition,
the copies I have on hand of the Volume 36 offset issues were creased and bent and had a really hard time saving as OCR searchable documents.
If I can find a better set I'd love to scan these over again.
